tmgroup are walking ancient road the Ridgeway to raise money for Wiltshire and Swindon Sport (WASP). The Swindon-based company have partnered with the local charity to raise much-needed funds to help support local clubs, organisations, schools and individual athletes across the county to realise their sporting potential.
More than 70 tmgroup staff will be helping to raise money by walking more than 80 miles of the Ridgeway on 11-14th April 2016 to promote and support sport and physical activity in Wiltshire and Swindon through various programmes and initiatives.
This activity also forms part of tmgroup’s 2016 wellbeing programme which aims to create and maintain a work environment that supports good wellbeing for all employees in the following areas:
The walk will be raising money through this crowdfunding opportunity to support sport across the county in the following ways:
1) Enable WASP to build up a library of specialist sports equipment e.g. wheelchairs that can be hired by disability groups and athletes.
2) WASP will also be able to support local coaches by adding additional funds to our bursary scheme to enable us to train and develop our coaching workforce across the county.
3) The workplace health initiative WASP run called Workplace Challenge will benefit employees locally through champion training and social sporting competitions and events.
